How to Get YouTube Views

To get more views for your YouTube video you should make it findable via the YouTube internal search engine. Your video should be at least on the first page of YouTube search results for your desired keywords. So, obviously, your first step is to find those keywords you want to optimize your video for. Do not choose too many keywords. 2-3 long tail keywords would work the best.

Tip #1: Optimize Your Video Title

When you upload your video to YouTube, do not forget to make your title not only appealing for visitors but also include your targeted keyword(s). Just imagine how would you search for the info/product/services promoted in your video. What phrase would you put into a search box?

Tip #2: Optimize Your Description

Another basic tip is to make sure that your description is optimized too. Again, try to make your description optimized for both YouTube search ranking algorithms and your live human visitors. In the most cases, you want your video watcher to visit your website as a result of watching. Give him this chance by providing your site URL at the beggining of your description. Remember, to make your link clickable (what is a must for success), start it with http:// prefix. This is simple advise, but you won’t beleive how many people do really miss it!

As for the description content, try to make it look rather as a blog post. Make it interesting to read and still include your keywords to let Google and YouTube detect that your video is relevant to the searches that are made on either YouTube or Google.

Tip #3: Optimize Your Video Tags

Tags are exactly your keywords. The only suggestion I can make here is not to use too many different keywords for a single video. Instead, use just 2-3 top keywords your title and description are optimized for. If you have much more keywords, I’d suggest you to create more videos ( not just remain the main one – this will be detected by YouTube and can be concidered a spam), set up your video channel and publish all of them making each video optimized to its own set of keywords.

These are the basics. Do not miss them and your video will get more views than you expect. Good luck!
